Yes it's true: I got my nose pierced!

I think the title of this blog explains everything.  I wasn't planning on getting anything pierced here, but one of my study abroad friends, Leanna, wanted me to do it with her.  Our friend from Lady Irwin College, Sumbul, convinced us to go to this place in Kamala Nagar that is famous for piercings.  Kamala Nagar is where most of the colleges of Delhi University are located, so the crowd is mostly in the lower 20s.  Everyone in that area get's their piercings done from this guy, so I thought why not go for it?!

To be honest, I almost chickened out.  I watched the guy the pierce someone's ear (while carefully scrutinizing the sanitation!).  After I decided it was up to par for my standards, I decided to go for it!  It didn't hurt that much and it's healing nicely.  I told my parents that night (I actually skyped my dad first!).  I think they like it, so I am happy.  When I told my mom, she said "Wow awesome, I wasn't even surprised when you told me."  Somehow she knew I would do something like this.  Moms just know everything.  I will also add that Biji LOVES it, which trump all.

Now I'm looking like a true Desi Girl!  Maybe I should start my long awaited career as a Bollywood actress.  Hmm, sounds like a viable career path; engineering has some competition...
