Heading back home via Nairobi

All good things must come to an end. With a sad but satisfying and light heart, I departed the Mara, the Fisi camp, and my dear friend Hadley. I learned so much about the land, the animals, the culture, and about myself. It's amazing what a week of zero connectivity will do for your self introspection.

The fun was not over quite yet! Before my flight back home, I got to spend the afternoon and evening with some family of my close friend, Mid-hat. His cousin, Manal, and her husband Rashid and three girls live in Nairobi. What fun! I got to see part of the city (CRAZY traffic), walk around a lovely park, and yummy home cooked meal at their home. It was so kind of them to host me!  I hope to see them again (especially when I go back to Lamu, Mid-hat's home town, someday!)

What a lovely family! We had so much fun!
Goodbye for now, Kenya, I hope to see you soon!
